Yes, you read this right… this Sunday is bringing together exciting events. It’s Cinco de Mayo, the Orthodox Easter, and most importantly, Lucy and Poncho’s 16th birthday!
If you haven’t met Lucy and Poncho yet, let me introduce them to you:
Lucy & Poncho
Poncho is my shadow, sitting next to me right now, staring at me lovingly as I type this post. He is the affectionate love bug, the cuddler, and a growler to all outsiders. Lucy is… oh so pretty… but she can’t be bothered. You’ll probably never see her if you stop by, but if you do, it’s your lucky day!
The Orthodox Easter holds significance for me as I’m technically Orthodox – my mom baptized me in secrecy, a story I may have shared before. The way I celebrate it this year is by having fun cooking and savoring a delicious lamb dish. Sorry, vegetarians!
Finally, Cinco de Mayo! It holds little relevance for me, except that it marks the birthdays of my two cats, Poncho and Lucy, and the inspiration behind their names.
Now, for those of you who are celebrating anything today, cheers! 🥂 🎉 🥳
